Summer Fishing Continues to Deliver Great Family Adventures

Lake Trout Continue to Shine

Lake trout fishing remained excellent this week, providing steady action on nearly every trip. Most of our success came while fishing 100 to 120 feet of water, where trout continued to feed consistently throughout the day.

Hammerhead cowbells remained one of our most productive presentations, while trolling spoons also accounted for plenty of fish.

Salmon Action Slows, But Expectations Remain High

Salmon fishing started the week on a strong note before tapering off during the latter half of the week. Even with the slower action, we continued to catch salmon by trolling spoons and meat rigs, giving guests exciting opportunities to hook into one of Lake Michigan’s most sought-after fish.

The encouraging news is that we’re anticipating a larger group of salmon to arrive any day now. As summer progresses, we typically see salmon numbers increase quickly, and we’re excited about what the coming weeks could bring.
