2026 Traverse City Fishing Season Wrap-Up | Storm Hawk Sport Fishing

That’s a wrap on another season aboard the Tiara! 🎣

We pulled the Storm Hawk yesterday, and I want to take a minute to thank everyone who came fishing with us this season.

It was an excellent season, with some epic catches along the way.

We started the season targeting lake trout and ended up catching more brown trout in the bay than we’ve seen in any season before. It wasn’t a huge number of fish, but it was encouraging to see more browns around than we’ve had in the past.

We also had some great steelhead mixed in from the start of the season through August, and the king salmon fishing was good again this year.

One of the things I enjoy most about this job is seeing familiar faces come back year after year, while also getting the chance to meet new customers and families fishing with us for the first time.

Thank you to everyone who came out, trusted us with your day on the water, and spent part of your summer with us. We really appreciate every one of you.

The season on the Tiara may be over, but there’s still plenty of fishing left.

We’ll be chasing perch on the Alumacraft over the next few weeks, and once fall finally turns into winter, we’ll wrap up the fishing season there as well.

Then it won’t be long before we’re back out on the ice.

Thanks again for a great season! We hope to see a lot of you back next year! 🎣
