September 2019 - Traverse City Charter Fishing

Salmon fishing in Traverse City has been good! We have been experiencing some good catches, not huge numbers but that is not our norm anyhow. We took three fish this morning all were close to 30 pounds! That is crazy size, we landed 4 nice salmon this morning lost another 3. It was a fun morning on the water! The fishing should remain strong for another 3 weeks, pending we don’t get any crazy weather patterns that push all the fish up the river.

2019 Traverse City Salmon Classic 1st place

Traverse City Salmon Classic Champions for the second year in a row! What a fun weekend on the water, filled with ups and downs. We are super excited to two peat this tournament, it is not a easy thing to do. In fact I only know of one other team that has won the tournament back to back, it is rare! It was a fairly close tournament, we had a come back from our day 1 performance that had us in third place. We had a big box of salmon on day two that gave us a win by nine points edging out team “Chaos”.
