The fishing continues to be awesome! We had one trip that was slower than we would have liked this last week, but that was more due to the conditions. There were some poor weather days early in the week which made things difficult. But we were able to get out and put fish in the cooler consistently. The fish have started to settle into the summer pattern, targeting them in deeper water. Some Salmon have been caught swimming around both bays which is always exciting to see this early in the season! The extended weather forecast is looking great, and we have some availability. The fishing has been absolutely incredible so far this June! Fish have been caught recently anywhere in 10 feet of water out to 60 feet. I have been concentrating on the break targeting 30-50 foot. 2, 4,5, and 7 colors of lead core fishing spoons. Cowbells on down riggers fishing 5 feet off bottom has been very effective. Color does not seems to matter at the moment. The fish are hungry!
The fishing season is well underway! We are seeing some great fishing so far this season, we are hoping it continues! Fishing for primarily lake trout with the chance to catch a Salmon, Brown Trout, Steelhead, and Cisco you just never know what is going to bite the hook! Today was an incredible day, with amazing weather and great people the fish just seemed to jump in the boat. We had a limit of Lake Trout in now time with a few big Cisco on top of it! Excited to see what tomorrow brings!
Ice Fishing season: The weather has been making it difficult to get out on the ice here in Northern Michigan. We have had limited opportunities to get out thus far. The trips we have been able to get out has provided a lot of fun however! With the forecast and what appears to be some cold weather coming we should have the opportunity to get out on more lakes!
