We started the morning fishing for Salmon since we got a early start. No luck with the Salmon the first hour but did manage to get some Lake Trout while fishing for them. We made the switch over to concentrate on trout, and they were hungry. We shared a lot of laughs while catching fish, many double and lots of fish that got away!

We had a great morning on the water. We ended with nice box of Lake Trout, and our first King Salmon of the season. Fished the west side of the bay and had success from Red 8 up to windows. 60-100 feet of water. Spoons on copper long lines and flasher flys on down riggers did the best. The King Salmon hit on a 10 color of lead core with a Green Dolphin Stinger.
We had a late start this morning. But the fishing sure was great!!! We caught a limit of nice healthy Lake Trout, with this bonus… Drum? It was the biggest I had seen! We caught it in West Bay fishing by Power Island in 30 feet of water. We threw that one back!!!
Another captain snapped this picture and sent it to me the other day. I may be bias but I love that boat! She fishes great and has a roomy cockpit to get out of the weather, or the spacious deck to fight your trophy fish! We had a really fun day on the water today. We ended up in 3rd place in the event Mackenzie took home top honors for biggest ladies fish! We caught a steelhead, lost two others. One of the steelhead was right behind the boat when he made one last jump. If we got that one we would of been looking at a repeat to win, but we still had a great time! Congrats to Team Streaker, and True Blue on first and second!

Had a date night with Mackenzie! Went to the lake with the cast net, bucket, and of course a beer. We caught my cut bait for the season, brined it up in a special brine to keep them firm and shiny! These things are gonna rock!!
So excited about our new boat! I absolutely loved the Grady White but we are really excited about the possibilities with this 27 Tiara!

We are beyond ready to start the fishing charter season for 2017! Found this picture thought it was a fun on, I don’t think any fun was had by anyone that day! After rough weather, rain, and lots of wind we made the delayed start for our trip. We were paid off for our patience!
I donated a trip to the Grandville athletic boosters club. It was a really fun event over in Gaylord, at the Tree tops resort. Food, drinks, and a huge raffle. Jim was the lucky winner of the night! We will see you this summer Jim!
