Frankfort Charter Fishing

We made a change from fishing Leland on the big boat to trying Frankfort. I wasn’t sure what to expect since I have not been out there in a few weeks. But I am glad me made the decision to try it! The water flipped over night, we fishing the Frankfort peir heads all morning. We caught our fair share of Salmon and had a blast doing it. Caught a few on the light bass rod, flat lining it off the transom. Hold on tight when one of these tasty fish hit that rod! We had a good cooler full of chrome King Salmon, we are going to be offering more Charter Fishing trips out of Frankfort for the last stretch of the season. Traverse City afternoon charter fishing

We went for an afternoon of charter fishing on West Bay today. With these afternoon trips you never know sometimes the fishing can be a little slower, that was not the case today! We had a superb trip with fish on constantly, fishing was lights out. Our long lines with some custom taped spoons were the ticket today. Mo below didn’t have any fun today as you can see in the photo! She ended the trip on the biggest fish on the afternoon!

Charter Fishing Leland, Mi

Back to charter fishing Leland, Mi today. We had a great trip started on the first bank but with out any cooler water we trolled west. Riggers with Stinger Blue Dolphin was good, 250, 300 coppers both took lots of bites. With a mix of Lake Trout, King Salmon, and Steelhead how can you not love it?! We ended with a good cooler full of fish, beautiful weather good job guys!

We never managed to even get 6 lines in the water today, the fishing is just that good! Riggers paired with spin doctor flies, or spoons color didn’t seem to matter. The biggest component to success today was boat control stayed right in 90 feet of water and worked the riggers tight to bottom and it was on. Lucas did a great job never lost a fish! He is now a veteran fishing with me!! Great job Buddy!!

Traverse City charter fishing~Fishing Report

We had another fantastic fishing charter today! Had a quick 4 man limit before 9, cant ask for better fishing than that! Wire divers with Big Weenie Meat Rigs, 250, 300, 320 copper with moonshine spoons were the ticket today! Fished anywhere from 75-110 feet of water. Not a bad way to start the morning!

Took the Larigan family out on the Infinity this morning. We had a pretty good morning couldn’t seem to get the fish in the boat but it was plenty good enough! The kids had a great time and that’s what its all about. There weren’t any salmon to speak of but the lake trout fishing was good!

Leland Fishing Charters~Not just the Bay

Ran a fishing charter out of Leland today, booked a trip on the big boat for this morning. It was a lot of fun getting out of the bay and fishing out of Leland, nice change of pace for the day! We had a fantastic charter fishing trip with lots of trout and this trophy king salmon. We caught a pile of trout in the first hour and half my crew decided they had more than enough trout wanted to chase after some King Salmon that were in the area. They were not disappointed! It wasn’t long after we made the switch this monster met his match! Paula handled this Salmon Like a pro!

Traverse City Fishing Spot

One thing is for sure. Traverse City has no shortage of fishing spots. That was very clear today, we had a blast fishing them! It was different than a normal trip as it seemed everything went wrong. The guys were laughing at me as I was trying to piece it together. Well plan A didn’t work… Plan B well that worked for a bite.. The dreadful plan C was in order and I sure wish I started with plan C!!! We were sitting on just a few fish until we made the final move of the day. It sure worked out well for us! A few doubles and few releases and lots of smiles. West Bay is a fantastic fishery and today I had a few curveballs thrown our way. Luckily we had beautiful weather great customers with patience.

Traverse City Salmon Charter Fishing

Had a double today. First trip this morning was a family trip we went out and got a limit of Lake Trout. Afternoon we went after salmon. Well it wasn’t to long of a wait until we got one, actually lost a few more too! We also caught a few trout so it was a fantastic afternoon! The King Salmon are showing up more and more it seems! I actually marked a decent amount of them while out searching for them. I look forward to targeting them more as the season wears on!

Fish are already wet!

Had a dreary wet damp cold afternoon! Doesn’t sound that great does it?! The fish didn’t seem to mind all that much, as we wrangled a limit of Lake Trout! Fished 80-100 feet Silver Streak Blue and Green Dolphins seemed to be best on coppers. And Spin doctors on the wire divers were productive as well! Fished by the old windows restaurant further north at some points.
