I was honored to do a event out of Leland today. All of the charter boats donated a charter fishing trip to take out 40 plus veterans, it was a special day! All involved caught a bunch of fish, mostly lake trout as we were able to wrangle two salmon to the boat. It was a lot of fun as we did a fish boil after, good fishing, good weather, great people, and good food whats not to love!
Ran a early morning fishing charter this morning. We had a gorgeous sunrise while on the way to the fishing grounds! As I went to set lines, we could not even get them set the Lake Trout were so snappy. As the first morning bite went on we the action slowed momentarily. Picked back up as we kept at it ended the morning on back to back doubles! With the water temps being as cold as they are we are practicing catch and release. We kept two for dinner and let the rest go, we even had a bonus steelhead. Fishing is great here in Traverse City, it should continue to produce great numbers the rest of the season!

Ran a charter out of Frankfort this morning looking for King Salmon. We were not disappointed the Salmon were fired up and on the feed! We ended up boxing 10 salmon, lost 7 others. After some sore arms my customers decided they had enough, 3 hours dock to dock. The fish are here! Give me a call to get in on fishing northern Michigan King Salmon!

Ran a 7 A.M. trip today. Wow what a incredible fishery must of landed over 40 trout, all while keeping 4. Catching them in extremely shallow water early on some planer boards until I realized no reason to fish them! I had the guys manning the down riggers setting the hook even trying their hand at setting the down riggers. Big Weenie Blue Balls paired with a blue bubble fly on a rigger maybe 30 feet behind the ball, chrome spinny on the other paired with a chrome spin-n-glow. Fished 20-30 feet all morning never left, fished Lee Point. It was a great morning!!!!

Wow! We had a incredible bite today, the Lake Trout didn’t stand a chance with my hearty crew. Fishing anywhere from 15-30 feet all seemed to produce the same. Lead cores were the best paired with Warrior Lures flutter spoons. We achieved our 5 person limit in under two hours of fishing. The fishing in Traverse City, Michigan is going to be insane great all year! We are super excited for the 2014 season!

Traverse City Coho Salmon fishing! We got a fresh batch of Coho in over night we found a few pods of them and worked them over pretty good!
