We had a good bumpy morning today on West Grand Traverse Bay. We only managed one King Salmon, but we did not give it much time with the waves we were fighting. We ran north into some protected water and found some really hungry trout!

Sometimes fishing is about some luck or timing…. The difference in when your turn is can make all the difference in the world! Fun times non the less, we had a great evening on the water with limit catch!
I have been fortunate enough to take this awesome family the last few years. Zuzana, Paul, and the kids are always so excited every year! I have taught Miss. Nicole how to fight a fish and last year she mastered it, catching a nice king salmon to end the trip on a down rigger rod. Well this year her turn came on a dipsey diver with a meat rig, which is a little more difficult to keep hooked. She did a great job and never broke her concentration for a minute she is a real pro! We managed to get a nice box of Kings and a few lake trout. Another great morning on the water!
Joe and Natalie had their hands full today with this giant. This one bit shortly after we finished setting lines, bit on a leadcore line. At first I thought it was a Lake Trout, until the fish felt the hook! It took off and went mad, thinking he was Hercules! All in all it took a total of 55 minutes to land this fish, would have taken well over a hour if we didn’t pull lines! We have some openings in the next few weeks, call today to book your trip!

Wow is right thing to say after todays amazing fishing! We caught a really nice box of fish including the biggest of the season! Charlie did a great job as this fish hit a 1o Color of Lead Core! So it is a long ways out there before we even get a chance to start the battle! He locked in and made it happen, this giant was apart of a triple the other trout got to the boat before we even could get his planer board off! Pretty amazing fish, after trying to revive this trophy for a few minutes we had to throw it in the cooler.

Took out some life long friends from North Dakota for a afternoon charter. We had a ball loading the fish on the deck, they were razzing me on the way out to the spot. But once we hooked a double in a matter of minutes they didn’t have time to anymore! We caught a limit of really nice trout!
Grace called with one objective she wanted to catch a big fish. We went out this afternoon in hunt of a big King Salmon in Traverse City’s West Grand Traverse Bay. We set our lines and we trolled on she told me she wanted to go for glory rather than numbers. So here we go mid day looking for some kings, and it paid off! This pig smoked a Big Weenie Brand Spotted Dick UV meat rig on the downrigger 70 down. It put up a great fight but it was no match for Grace! Victorious Great job!

Fishing was fantastic today! We filled the cooler in short order, all Lake Trout no chrome fish. This paddle was on fire all morning on a wire diver!
