Salmon fishing Traverse City is underway! We aren’t seeing huge numbers of fish but we are seeing some really big fish! Joel shows off his trophy of a catch. This one tipped the scale at 25 pounds, second biggest of the season. There have been a lot of 30 plus pound Salmon caught this year! Don’t wait the season is winding down, we have availability!

We set the bar extremely high for the seasons largest Lake Trout on a evening charter this week! This trophy sized lake trout bit with in 20 minutes of fishing. Matter of fact we were still setting lines! We fought this beast from the bottom of West Grand Traverse Bay for nearly 30 minutes before he fell into the net! It was a high tense battle knowing this was a special fish. What an awesome evening catching our limit after a quick celebration!

We had another productive trip today in Traverse City. Fishing was very good, we fished for salmon most of the morning and had two big salmon on. We could not keep them on the hook however and lost the big ones! But I did see more salmon on the Lowrance fish finder this morning that I have any other morning which is encouraging for the next few days! We caught some nice trout through the morning and lost more than we landed. But all in all with the huge winds today I was glad we were able to get out and fish!

Fun on the Bay:

We have been having a lot of fun the last few weeks! In years past, July can be a little slower fishing at times. This year that is far from the case! We have had incredible fishing all of July, I look forward to August and beyond! It is going to start really getting interesting as the 4 year old King Salmon show up here. There have been more and more mature King Salmon caught as every day passes! Any morning we are going to be surprised with a bay full of feisty king salmon! Traverse City Family Fun:

These trips are the best! Family fun on the waters of Traverse City, we had another great day with smiles to be had by all! Of course mom had to catch the biggest fish to show the boys how its done! We landed a nice catch of Lake Trout, through the morning and had some great fishing weather! We have all day Sunday open if you want to experience great fishing, now is the time!

Traverse City Fishing Charters:

Traverse City Summer Fishing Action:

The weather is hot, the fishing is hotter! Traverse City‘s West Bay is providing us with some epic fishing! We are seeing some really nice lake trout, Steelhead, and occasional King Salmon. Cherry Festival is here! We are off today, spending time with the family and watch the air show. We had some excellent fishing yesterday with limit catches both trips. There were a lot of hungry fish, some really nice size as well with the biggest coming in the afternoon at 13 pounds. There is availability this upcoming week if you want to get out on the water!
