The 2022 fishing season is near! We are now less than one month away from the fishing season. We are beyond excited to shake the winter blues and get out on the water. Looking to splash the boat at end of this month or the 1st of May. Few days in the water to get the boat situated, we will be ready! We are still open May 7-8th! Our guided ice fishing trips are in full swing here in Northern Michigan. We have been concentrating on Perch, Walleye, Pike, and bass! Fishing has been off to a great start so far. Hoping the cold weather continues and the fish keep biting! We still have availability for the remainder of the season. If all goes well we will be able to fish until mid March. 

Pending on the species you would like to target will dictate the lake we will fish. We try to stay within 30 minutes of Traverse City so we have a lot of GREAT options! If you have any questions about our guided ice fishing please give us a call! 

 

The fishing in Traverse City this summer has been fantastic so far! Conditions have not been the easiest however. We have been facing lots of winds and currents stirring up the water. But we have been able to make it happen. Lake trout have been snappy with some Cisco in the mix as well! 

 

May Charter Fishing Traverse City:

May is a terrific month to get out in Traverse City to enjoy a charter fishing trip! There are a lot of reasons why to come out and try your luck in May, and I will tell you a few reasons why! The fish have not seen any lures in MONTHS since late September they have been able to forget all about us fisherman, and fisherwomen. It can be a diverse fishery depending on the spring and temps, fish can be caught in 5 feet of water all the way out to 150+ which makes every outing exciting! The opportunity to catch multiple species May is probably the best month of the year to have a chance to catch a Brown Trout, Steelhead, and Lake Trout all in one trip. Spring is near:

We are fast approaching spring! I could not be more excited for the 2021 fishing season, hopefully you are too! If 2021 fishing is anything like 2020 we have lots to be excited about! Early season maybe my favorite time to fish in Traverse City. Early May the fish will still be deep by mid-late May the fish move into the shallows. When that happens it is a blast! The boat will be in the water the first few days of May, as marinas open May 1st in Traverse City. Lets fish!
