We have been enjoying a fun and challenging ice fishing charters season here in Michigan! Fishing has been pretty steady through the winter, not fast and furious by any means but good enough to keep us busy. We have targeted mainly Walleye, and perch this season but there is so much more to offer here in Northern Michigan!

The end of the winter is amongst us! With the unseasonable weather the last few days and sunshine it has us thinking spring, and that ultimately has us getting excited for our Fishing Charters in Traverse City! We have been having a blast here in Traverse City on our guided ice fishing trips! We have been targeting Walleye, and Perch mostly! Fishing has been steady, not fast and furious but enough fish are coming up to play! The highlight of the last week was a group from Kentucky, Joe landed the biggest Walleye of the season thus far. It measured in at 27.5 inches, a very respectable fish! We still have roughly a month to come out and enjoy a Michigan past time and try your hand at a guided ice fishing charter right here in Traverse City!
We had our annual Grill-N-Chill outing this past weekend! We had a blast with family and friends enjoying the day out in Traverse City enjoying a day ice fishing! We had over 20 people come and spend the afternoon on the ice visiting and telling stories. There were plenty of Walleye caught between the group. Nothing to brag about in the size department but it was a lot of fun to spend the afternoon on the ice fishing with family and friends. We already have some fun ideas for next year!
We are getting closer to the fishing season here in Traverse City! Soon we will be targeting Salmon, and Lake Trout! Until then we will be spending time getting the boat prepped and getting the gear in order for the fishing charter season. We have some new rods and reels on the way, as well as a bunch of new tackle!
To past the time I have enjoyed some time on the ice with friends and family. It has been a slow start to the guided ice fishing season due to the ice conditions. I have also been trying my hand at some YouTube videos we have some pretty neat underwater footage! I am going to try and get some footage through this season to make more videos with some awesome content stay tuned on that!
The fishing season is near, even if the calendar and weather say otherwise! With this winter being different I think we are all hoping for a early spring and early good fishing season! Happy winter everyone! We are currently doing some ice fishing and waiting for Spring all at the same time. I have had some free time the last few weeks with the inconsistent ice so, I decided I was going to try my hand at making a YouTube channel and throw some fun little videos together. Happy Holidays! With the colder weather setting in we are starting to think ice fishing here in Northern Michigan. I snuck out one time last week at a small inland lake. There was 4-5 inches where I was sitting just outside of me however the ice was very thin about one inch. Did not have much success one small perch! But it was really nice to get out even for 45 minutes. I fished Mud Lake in Interlochen, right off the boat launch. I have been gearing up for the up coming season! Salmon fishing in Traverse City has been good! We have been experiencing some good catches, not huge numbers but that is not our norm anyhow. We took three fish this morning all were close to 30 pounds! That is crazy size, we landed 4 nice salmon this morning lost another 3. It was a fun morning on the water! The fishing should remain strong for another 3 weeks, pending we don’t get any crazy weather patterns that push all the fish up the river.

Traverse City Salmon Classic Champions for the second year in a row! What a fun weekend on the water, filled with ups and downs. We are super excited to two peat this tournament, it is not a easy thing to do. In fact I only know of one other team that has won the tournament back to back, it is rare! It was a fairly close tournament, we had a come back from our day 1 performance that had us in third place. We had a big box of salmon on day two that gave us a win by nine points edging out team “Chaos”.
Salmon fishing Traverse City is underway! We aren’t seeing huge numbers of fish but we are seeing some really big fish! Joel shows off his trophy of a catch. This one tipped the scale at 25 pounds, second biggest of the season. There have been a lot of 30 plus pound Salmon caught this year! Don’t wait the season is winding down, we have availability!
