Happy New Year from the Storm Hawk Sport Fishing Family
Happy new year every one wishing you all a fantastic 2017 upcoming year! The Storm Hawk operation just got a little bigger with the official addition of Mackenzie aka CEO! I will be hitting the hard water soon and will post some updates on the fantastic ice fishing opportunities we have up here in beautiful Northern Michigan.
2016 Charter Fishing Season Is Done
Its officially over folks! Thank you to every one that came out and fished this year! Its a privilege to show so many fantastic people this world class fishery we get to experience in Traverse City, Michigan. The boat is tucked away nicely for her winter break safely waiting for our next go around in the spring. We will do some upgrades to our boat, and tackle through the winter to make sure we are top notch for you next year!!!! Check the site out time to time we will be doing some ice fishing this year and I will try to post to keep you all up to date!

I am getting married! Ran a trip in the morning asked Mackenzie to come down for a boat ride since it was such a nice day. She had no idea what was coming! Truly blessed to be marrying my best friend and fishing partner!
Coho Salmon in Traverse City
Had a good bite on Coho Salmon today while fishing kings. We ended up with a mixed bag with a 50/50 split deep divers were the ticket today. One had a Fish scale paddle as shown below the other white crush spin doctor and they took all of our bites this morning. The fishing is still hanging on strong!!

King Salmon Fishing is on FIRE in Traverse City, Michigan
We had a fun morning today. Landed 10 king salmon, while we all celebrated Shawn’s upcoming wedding! Nothing better than having life long best friends on the boat, throw in phenomenal fishing you have a special morning. Lots of fun congrats on the upcoming wedding Shawn hope to see you again next year!

First Ever Salmon Selfie
I didn’t have a charter and I wanted to go make a few passes down in the hole. I Figure the season is almost done should go fishing!!! So here are the results caught 3 Kings and 1 Coho this morning. Ran a down rigger down 55 with a Clown Plug, and Double White Crush Spin Doctor on the diver back 130 they both took shots at the fish. It was a lot of fun its a lot of work trying to do it all on your own!! Here is my first ever attempted #salmonselfie give me a call if you want to check this fishery out. It truly is world class, we still have another few weeks of good fishing!

Traverse City Salmon Charter
Another amazing trip on the bay. Only fished for 45 minutes we put three fish in the boat consecutively and that was enough for the crew!! Lindsey caught this gorgeous king to end the night! It always stays true the pretty girls always catch the biggest fish!

2016 Traverse City Salmon Classic 8th place
Well it sure was a fun weekend! After day 1 we sat in 4th place which is a great place to be in a tournament going into day 2.We had a few mistakes which cost us nice size fish behind the boat day 1. So I figured if we could land those bites day 2 we would have a great shot to be in the drivers seat to possibly win the tournament. Unfortunately day 2 was not our day, it was a extremely tough bite. We only managed to put 1 small King Salmon in the boat. We went trout fishing mid way through the morning lost 5 consecutive trout which I knew that was a bad omen. We managed to catch two trout that were too big to keep due to the slot limit and only land two trout we could keep. We didn’t even manage to land the tournament limit! All I can say is it happens, still had a fun time through the course of the weekend. Still managed to land inside the top ten for the tournament some how! Great fun thanks to Steveo for putting it on!! Also congrats to my good friend Captain Adam on the Mega Bite on the win!
